The owner was very friendly and accommodating, offering to receive our food order before arrival and even putting everything away for us. The central heating was also a great bonus, especially with the unseasonable weather, making our stay very comfortable. The location of the cottage was ideal for us, as we had a car and all the attractions around the area were within a 30-minute drive. Having a corner shop and a pub within a 10-minute walk was convenient, and the children's playground next to the cottage was a nice surprise for the little ones.
There was also a large stain on the living room carpet that a stronger cleaning product could have possibly removed. It would have been handy to have a small pick-up or hand vacuum for longer stays, as well as an itinerary of kitchen supplies to avoid unnecessary purchases.

Our stay at Rose Cottage was excellent value for money. The room was cozy and well-furnished, with a comfortable double bed and clean bathrooms. The location was perfect for us, with easy access to nearby attractions and a great pub within walking distance. The staff were very helpful, even offering to receive a food order before our arrival and ensuring the central heating was on to make our stay comfortable.
The breakfast could be improved by offering a wider variety of options.

The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. She offered to receive a food order before arrival and put everything away, which was very helpful. she didn't hesitate to turn on the central heating for us when we requested it, making our stay very comfortable. The location was also a big plus, as it was ideal for families with a car. We were within easy driving distance of all the attractions in Torbay, and there was even a corner shop, a pub, and a children's playground within walking distance.
There were a couple of drawbacks during our stay. It would have been great to see more environmentally-friendly options.

Although our stay was mostly great, there were a few minor drawbacks. For instance, we noticed a large stain on the carpet in the living room, which could have been easily removed with an industrial product.

Enjoyed complimentary WiFi, although private parking was a bit challenging. Lovely garden for a barbecue, if I could actually figure out how to light it. Free towels, yay.
Private parking was a nightmare, but who needs an actual spot to park when you can improvise?
